Cleaning Checklist
Here is the checklist broken down room by room, including a picture of what each room should look like when done.
If you find anything and you aren't sure if it belongs, just call us :) You are welcome to take anything left behind or just put it in the office. There are extra sets of sheets for each bed if you run out of time to wait for the wash. The are 3 boxes in the office closet, they are: tissues, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Don't forget to lock the office and put the key on the top of the dryer
Occasionally, clean the cobwebs on the ceilings in all rooms
Living Room (upstairs)
Verify the 2 paintings are still in the room
Wipe down/Dust end tables, coffee table, buffet, and shelving
Wipe down windowsills and clean interior windows if needed
Wipe down fireplace hearth
Vacuum the floor
Replace tissues if needed
Arrange pillows and fold throw blanket
If needed clean under the couch cushions
If needed return the games back to the cabinets, and arrange the buffet shelves.
Check the carpet for spills & stains (text us a picture of anything permanent)
Dining Room (upstairs)
Sweep and mop the floors
Wipe down table and buffet
Wipe down windowsills and clean interior windows if needed
Refill napkin holder
Check for food/drinks that may have been left in the cabinets
Arrange the chairs and put the bench back in the hallway if needed
Kitchen (upstairs)
Gather dirty towels and wash
Remove all food that may have been left by the previous guest and wipe down shelving
Empty refrigerator of all food Except condiments
Empty freezer of all food
If there is nonperishable food left: you can either take it yourself or put it in the office and we will sort it out
If there is alcohol left: you can either take it yourself or leave it in the fridge
Wash and put away dishes, make sure the cabinets are arranged
Check the coffee machine to make sure that there aren't old grinds in there and that the pot doesn't have coffee remaining – clean the machine
Empty the electric kettle and leave open so that the drips will dry
Spot check pots and pans, Tupperware and utensils that they are clean
Sanitize all surfaces, including counters, cabinets and stove
Disinfect the inside of the sink and backsplashes
Wipe down the interiors and exteriors of small appliances, including the microwave and coffee maker
Clean the inside and outside of the oven, refrigerator, and freezer
Refill kitchen supplies
Paper towels and 1 extra roll
Dish and hand soap
Make sure there is creamer, sugar and coffee
Wipe down windowsills and clean interior windows if needed
Sweep and mop the floors
Take out the trash & recycling, disinfect the garbage can, replace the trash bag (trash only)
Make sure all cabinets and counters are arranged nicely
Leave counter/under cabinet lights on
Primary Bedroom (upstairs)
Remove sheets, pillowcases, and blankets and wash
Dust the nightstands
Wipe down windowsills and clean interior windows if needed
Disinfect high-touch items like light switches and TV remotes
Check the room for any personal belongings left by previous guest
Ensure there’s no damage on bedding, furniture, and other items
Vacuum the floors, including under the bed (I have heard horror stories of people finding disgusting things under there), addressing carpet stains
Empty the trash can
Remake the bed with a fresh set of bedding
Make sure the tv remotes and the remotes for the beds are on the nightstands
Replace tissues if needed
Arrange the hangers in the closet
Leave the blinds open ½ way
Fold and put the luggage rack away
Check the carpet for spills & stains (text us a picture of anything permanent)
Primary Bathroom (upstairs)
Gather dirty towels and bathmats and wash
Check the drawers and cabinets for any personal items that were left
Clean mirrors
Clean the countertop, backsplash, sinks, and faucets
Scrub the showers and shower door
Sanitize the toilet
Empty the trashcan
Sweep and mop the floor
Ensure there are enough amenities, such as hand soap and toilet paper for the next guests depending on their length of stay
Refill liquid hand soap if needed
Replace Shampoo, conditioner and body wash if needed
Leave 2-4 small bar soaps in the dish
Replace tissues if needed
Check the entire bathroom for wear-and-tear, mold, and other damage
Put out clean towels and bathmats, this room has the blue towels and bathmats, extra towels go under the sink
Ensure bathroom items, such as the hairdryer, toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, and hand towel, are arranged nicely
Hall & Hall Closet (upstairs)
Arrange the hangers in the closet
Sweep and mop the floors
Wipe down stair rail
Check for items in the closet guests may have left (coats, shoes), and that an umbrella is still there
Leave bridge, street, and stairs lights on
Balcony (upstairs)
Wipe down table
Arrange chairs
Check the BBQ utensils are outside and not accidently inside
Cover the BBQ
If it's bad quickly sweep the deck
Stairs
Vacuum the carpet
Wipe down windowsills and clean interior windows if needed
Wipe down stair rail
Hallway (downstairs)
Vacuum the carpet
Check the carpet for spills & stains (text us a picture of anything permanent)
Don't forget to lock the office and put the key on the top of the dryer
Family Room (downstairs)
Verify the money table is not missing bills or coins and looks like the picture below
Wipe down/Dust coffee table, mantle and shelving
Clean french door windows if needed and lock the doors
Wipe down fireplace hearth
Vacuum
Arrange pillows and throw blanket
If needed clean under the couch cushions
Make sure the TV remote and sound bar remote are on the coffee table

Laundry Closet
Refill detergent and softener if needed
Sweep the floor
Make sure the shelves are arranged
Check for laundry guests may have left
Bathroom (downstairs)
Gather dirty towels and bathmats and wash
Check the drawers and cabinets for any personal items that were left

Clean the countertop, backsplash, sinks, and faucets
